Leipzig results story

2014 Longines Hong Kong Masters bound French riders Patrice Delaveau and Kevin Staut have so far enjoyed the perfect lead-up to the prestigious event performing strongly at the weekend’s FEI World Cup Jumping Western European League Series in Leipzig.

Delaveau, who was the dominant rider at last year’s Longines Hong Kong Masters finished in first placing aboard Lacrimoso.

That effort now makes Delaveau well qualified for the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping 2013/14 Final that will take place in Lyon, France from April 17-21.

He is currently ranked fourth on the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping 2013/14 Western European League overall standings (after round 7) behind the UK’s Scott Brash.

Reigning European champion Roger-Yves Bost, another top class rider headed for Hong Kong next month, snared second placing at the weekend whilst fellow countryman Kevin Staut was sixth aboard Silvana.

All three riders competed at last year’s Longines Hong Kong Masters and are looking forward to their imminent return.

Their appearance at Asia’s only five -star show jumping event held at AsiaWorld Expo is a coup for organisers EEM World.

They will add plenty of flare and entertainment across the three days of competition that starts on February 21.
