Better known as world capital of show business and entertainment, Los Angeles has also a long-standing tradition in sports. Host to the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics, the city is preparing to bid once again for the 2024 summer games.
 
Recognized as one of the most successful Olympic Games ever, the 1984 LA Olympics were a consecration for the American show jumping team who not only won team Gold with legendary riders Joe Fargis, Conrad Homfeld, Leslie Howard Burr and Melanie Smith, but also individual Gold and Silver Medals with Joe Fargis and Touch of Class, and Conrad Homfeld riding the great Abdullah.
 
After Paris and Hong Kong, the Masters Grand Slam Indoor will unroll its red carpet on the American continent and welcome to Los Angeles, for the first time in 30 years, the best show jumping riders and horses in the world, for four days of spectacular show jumping action.
 
A new annual rendez-vous on the international sporting and social calendar, the Longines Los Angeles Masters will take place from September 25 to 28, at the LA Convention Center.
