Glitz and Glamor at the Gucci Gold Cup
Saturday 19th September 2015 Los Angeles
The Saturday evening program at the Longines Masters is the ultimate in style and fun, and the night’s highlight is the Gucci Gold Cup. The 1.55-meter class boasts $130,000 in prize money on all three continents, and features a unique format of two rounds, with the second only showcasing the top ten riders from the first. Based on the principle of the “winning round,” the scores from the first round are discarded, and everyone in the final round has the chance to win.

A new trio of classes at all three Longines Masters events, the Gucci Gold Cup in Los Angeles will debut in October. Earlier in the year, the inaugural Gucci Gold Cup in Hong Kong featured an all-British podium: show jumping legend John Whitaker landed the victory, followed by the young and talented talented Jessica Mendoza and the current world-ranked number one Scott Brash.

The Saturday night program also features the “Pro-Am Style & Competition for Charity” class to round out a very glamorous evening. To start the evening in true Hollywood fashion, celebrities and famous personalities will walk the Red Carpet. Then internationally recognized names like Jessica Springsteen, Jennifer Gates, Eve Jobs, Hannah Selleck, Kaley Cuoco will ride in ten teams of two for their chosen charities.

For the evening, the Los Angeles Convention Center becomes the place to see and be seen. So don’t miss the star-studded action, and remember to dress to impress. The combination of the world’s best riders and international personalities, aboard their equally as impressive mounts, will put on a marquee evening in the bona fide City of Angels.
